Calling all my single ladies! Are you looking for ways to treat yourself on a Saturday night? New activities to do when all of your (taken) friends are maxed out on their calendar next week?

First of all, take a deep breath. It’s OK to be single, and the idea of ‘’self-dating’’ is certainly not new. That’s why we have created a list of 21 self-date ideas for you to let loose and enjoy yourself like those taken gals.

1. Watch the latest blockbuster film 

This is one of the most popular activities to embark on when you’re single because of the amount of self involved. Think about it. All you have to do is walk into the theater and watch the film. It’s just that simple. And in the end you won’t have to worry about sharing snacks or debating on whether the plot is a remake of that so-and-so flick back in the ‘80s. 

2. Join an art club (or do it yourself)

The art of self expression is an enjoyable activity for anyone who takes pride in saying the table or dresser in your house looks the way it does because of your crafts(woman)ship. Heading over the Michael’s beforehand or skimming through Instagram photos for inspiration is also a great way to outline your weekend project. 

3. Read a book outdoors 

Reading a book in a park or local coffee shop is a very different experience to simply sitting in your favorite lounge chair at home. The next time the weather is nice and warm out, maybe consider taking Fitzgerald or Orwell with you during your next outing.
