Pleasantly surprised. That was my reaction to the "Sound of Music" gazebo site outside of Salzburg. I had told myself it probably wouldn't be that great and there would be tons of people there, but it was actually pretty quiet and I got to live out all my Liesl dreams. Of course it's a bummer that you can't go inside anymore (someone sued after falling off a bench, they say), but it's still worth a quick photo stop when you're in the area. Weekday adventures with the ones who make you laugh until your belly hurts! •••••••••••••••••••••• I am grateful to live a few blocks from the Detroit River where it opens up to many islands and places to explore. I have been wanting to put my SUP in and ride as far as I can with the 6mph current until we didn’t want to go no more! • My friend and I went for a sunset cruise. The water felt like bath water, we laughed till our ribs hurt, talked about life, found some wild large eggs I am convinced are 🦕, ate some cookies and enjoyed every second of this MI summer night! Next time we said were going to take a backpack and float for a few days! ••••••••••••••••••••••• Need more nights like these in my life! . . . . #yoloboard #standuppaddle #puremichigan #michigander #michiganders #michiganweather #summernight #travelwithme #adventureseeker #roamersworld #goprolove #goprolife #wanderlustgirl #bestfriendgoals

Once upon a time in China 🇨🇳 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• This time three years ago, I took my first trip to China. My friend @tysontravel and I explored the Shaanxi region where we visited the Terracotta Army in Xian and hiked the ”world’s deadliest trail” at Mt Huashan. We also timed our trip to experience the #MidAutumnFestival, one of the most important Chinese festivals, where we celebrated under a full moon and ate our weight in delicious mooncakes (a type of pastry with a golden crust typically filled with red bean or lotus paste). For anyone planning to travel to China, I’ve compiled a list of my top tips for your first trip to the region along with a video that Tyson and I filmed. Check it out!— 🇨🇳 LINK IN BIO 🇨🇳 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• #china #mthuashan #xian #shaanxi #travel
